2022.08 - 2022.11, Norma
In the fall of 2022, Daniel made his debut in the role of Pollione in Eirik Stubø's production of Norma at Folkoperan in Stockholm. The production received great attention and was well-received by both critics and audiences. Tidskriften Opera (Opera magazine) wrote, "Daniel Svenson sings his part remarkably well with secure heights and nuanced phrasing, without the stodginess that is a high risk factor in Pollione's part." "The constellation of Sporsén-Jones-Svenson creates one of the most intensely charged moments one has experienced at Folkoperan."
2021.06 - 2021.08, Madama Butterfly
Daniel portrayed Pinkerton in Italian in a production at Undergrunden Theater in Værløse Copenhagen. Ulrich Stærk was in charge of the musical direction and Anders Ahnfelt Rønne directed. Daniel's voice brings to life and complements Puccini's broad musical vocal lines. Daniel made his debut in the role of Pinkerton already in 2017, then with Skånska operan.
2020.08 – 2020.11, Tristan och Isolde
Linus Tunström directed the production at Folkoperan, and Daniel made his debut in the role of Tristan. Here, Daniel was able to demonstrate a great dramatic range and stamina in this demanding part. Performed in Swedish.
2019.01-2019.03, La Boheme

Daniel holds a master's degree from the Opera Academy in Stockholm. During his career, Daniel has studied chamber music at Linköping University as well as stage performance at the University of Gothenburg. Furthermore, Daniel has trained on
the specialized singing programme (lied and romance singing) at Vadstena Folk High School.
Daniel has played roles such as Orfeus in Orfeus and Eurydice by Gluck, Tinca and the Song-seller in Il Tabbarro. Immediately after graduation, he sang Camille de Rossillon in The Merry Widow. And worked with roles such as Alfredo in La Traviata, Ruggero in La Rondine, Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor.
He has collaborated with a variety of conductors, including Henrik Schäfer, Marit Strindlund, and Joakim Unander. He has also portrayed Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus, Pontio Pilato in Das Liebesverbot by Wagner, and the Son in La Mammelle di Tiresia by Poulenc. He has appeared in several operetta performances together with Kammaropera Syd.
Musical theater
In 2016-17, he appeared in The Phantom of the Opera at Cirkus in Stockholm and was the understudy for the role of Piangi.
In concert settings, Daniel has sung, among others, Mozart's Requiem, Duruflé's Requiem, Actus Tragicus by JS Bach, John Stainer's Crucifixion, Mozart’s Great mass in C-minor and countless romance concerts with Nordic national romanticism with music by Stenhammar, Peters-Berger, Rangström Sjögren, Nordkvist, Sibelius, Grieg, among others. He sang the Hindu Song from Sadko at a tribute concert for the Swedish tenor Jussi Björling in the State Hall of the Royal Palace in 2010.
